Dr. Robert Hill, originally from Pennsylvania, earned a medical degree from The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After a rotating internship, he worked for two years with the Indian Health Service, assigned to the Navajo tribe in Gallup, New Mexico. He completed his orthopaedic surgical residency at Michigan State University. During his final year of residency, Dr. Hill was awarded the AO resident trauma fellowship which was completed at Tampa General Hospital. Following residency training, Dr. Hill completed a fellowship in Arthritis and Reconstructive Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital, under Lester Borden, M.D., in Cleveland Ohio. Upon completion of his fellowship he moved to Cincinnati to enter private practice, and co-founded Ohio Valley Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. While practicing in Cincinnati, Dr. Hill has provided orthopedic sports medicine coverage for local high school football and sport teams. He has served as a volunteer instructor at the University of Cincinnati, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, where he spent time providing physician leadership and resident training at the VA Medical Center. In 2014, Dr. Hill was named by Cincinnati Magazine as one of the top 100 doctors in the greater Cincinnati area. Shortly after, Dr. Hill was recruited by a hospital system to develop an Orthopaedic Total Joint program in the central Florida area, and relocated there shortly after. There, he founded the “Institute for Bone and Joint Disorders,” which provides Orthopaedic services to a number of groups in the Florida, Georgia, and Texas area. Dr. Hill is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Osteopathic Orthopaedic Surgeons. Along with practicing gen-eral orthopaedics, his special interests include sports medicine, trauma and adult reconstructive surgery. He is the father of 8 children, and enjoys time with his wife and family.
